Pocket bike or Pit bike, to be or not to be

I don't know anything about pocket bike or pit bikes, I know I keep tellling my kids they can't have either, I'm I out of my mind or is it not a dangerous thing? I ride my kids KTM 50cc and sometimes his 65sx and I'll tell you I've come close to breaking my neck on both. Maybe cause I'm 6'3", maybe cause I'm 250 lbs., certainly not cause I can't ride. I have 32 years under my belt in motocross racing. I had a little accident in a practice with my Kawasaki KX 250 smashing my face into the handlebars that provoked an episode of vertigo that lasted 17 months, oops.
